The Ultimate Guide while exploring Nha Trang, Vietnam

Nha Trang is definitely a must see if you enjoy the warm weather and beautiful beaches! Located just 3.5 hours away from Dalat, situated on the coast line of Vietnam. We spent four nights in the city center of Nha Trang we believe it was perfect amount of time to explore the city and surrounding beaches near the city.

FOOD ON THE STREETS:

  1. You MUST get a fresh fruit smoothie/juice (SO CHEAP)

  2. The lobster cooked on the side of the main beach road is to DIE FOR.

  3. Vietnam crepe filled with fruits and chocolate or try it savory

  4. Fresh ice cold coconut

  5. DELICIOUS PHO

  6. Kebab!! (James Go To)

  7. Ban Cuon with pork and mushrooms

Take a Day Trip up to Jungle Beach, near Ninh Hoa

We rented a motorbike from our hotel we were staying at only for the convenience of getting/returning therefore we paid top dollar for our bike. We rented our bike for 200 VND but many other local shops sold them out for around 150 VND. We packed up a bag full of our camera equipment, towels, sunscreen and lots of water and hit the road about an hour north to the peninsula. During this cruise we saw some of the most beautiful landscape with rice fields surrounding us and passing many different villages along the way. Jungle Beach is consisted of a jungle vibe hotel and restaurant, situated on the beach. There are many different sunbeds, hammocks and swings to lay out on for the day. To enter the hotel without staying there was 50 VND per person. We were blown away with the insanely beautiful beach that had both mountains and the ocean all in one (WHAT WE LOVE THE MOST). We spent the day enjoying the lovely beach waves, warm weather and oh so soft sand in our toes.

WHERE TO STAY

We had a really pleasant stay at BB hotel Nha Trang, which is just south of the actual center of the city. Walking to and from this hotel was very easy and safe. The breakfast was included in the rate of the room which is always a plus for us since we always wake up neeeeeding coffee. The staff at the front desk were super helpful to us when we asked them any questions. The biggest PRO for this hotel would have to be the rooftop pool on the 17th floor of the building! The views from the top were just incredible of the whole city.

GETTING TO/FROM NHA TRANG

There is an airport in Cam Ron which is a 45-60 minute bus/taxi ride to south of Nha Trang. Taxi would be the quickest however the local bus is cheaper (30 VND) and comes every 45 minutes.

The sleeper buses are just amazing in Vietnam. They come with a lay down bed which can be adjusted, water and air conditioning. The buses making the long distance journeys always stop every 2-3 hours for a bathroom break and to buy some snacks or local food. We have taken many buses like these and they really make the long distance journeys more enjoyable and comfortable. Our bus from Dalat to Nha Trang was only 5$ per person for a 3+ hour drive!
