Ever so crazy Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

WOW!!! We have no words for the feelings and culture shock we had when landing in this city. Our plane landed at around 7am and already the roads where just filled with motorbikes and taxis honking their way through the city. Ho Chi Minh is that kind of city that takes you by surprise. You either love it or you are ready to fly out to the next destination. We stayed in the city for 2 nights before flying out to the next destination (Phu Quoc) and beleive this is the perfect amount of time to stay in the city. HCMC is a big hub for transporation through the asain countries and you can usually find good flight prices through here.

THINGS TO DO IN HO CHI MINH CITY:

War remnant museum
Massage/nail spa
Bargain shop in Saigons best markets
Take a cooking class
Rent a motorbike
Try the local Pho or Banh Mi sandwich
Visit the Pagodas
Have some beers on the walking street
Visit the Cu Chi tunnels
Day tour to Mekong Delta

WHERE TO STAY IN HCMC:

We stayed in district 1 in Ho chi minh city which is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. We advise to stay in this area since most travelers are only staying in the city for a couple nights. You can find a lot of different hotels and hostels that are reasonably priced and that come with breakfast. Most hotels have good sound proof walls as well so sleeping isnt a problem while everyone is out on the streets partying.
